Lamest Joke Competition

The purpose of this debate is to find the lamest joke. I urge those of you reading to stop now because I assure you this won't be funny. there are three simple rules. The first is that all of the jokes must in fact be jokes. They can't be real stories or anything like that. The second rule is that it can be any type of joke. Yo momma, story jokes, etc. You get to pick. And the last is that if you need to exceed the limit of characters, then go ahead. leave them in the comment box, and nobody wil...
I don't really know quite yet.
I am currently in the mood for a good debate. But my dilemma is that I don't know what to debate about. So if you disagree with me on an issue in my profile, then please argue with me about it. I would like this debate to be on one of those issues, so please limit yourself to that issue. I will make the first argument, so if my opponent would just tell me the resolution, I will be happy to make my opening arguments. Thank you, and good luck....
I will not win the upcoming tournament on this site.

First let me say that ny position is that I can not win the tournament. With that said, here are my reasons why: 1. I have little experience; a more experienced or smarter debater could eaisly beat me. 2. In debates, I frequently make unwarranted claims and hope something sticks. Most of my arguments are hard to read and pointless. 3. Me han conocido para discutir en español. 4. There are WAY better debaters than me, and I will likely lose the first round to Logical-Master. 5. Me...
Freedom of expression - religion is an expression

If you believe in freedom of expression, you believe in freedom of expression for views you don't like. "A world would be a better place without a religion"??????? Religion is an expression, so by disregarding this basic expression(religion) We are disobeying the Rights of others. ***** please limit to 10 sentences for every round....
There is absolute truth

To say there is no absolute truth is a contradictory statement. By saying that is true. There has to be absolute truth in this world....
Washington D.C. is broken.

In order to begin this debate, I would first like to thank my future opponent for debating me. I am currently a parli debater in college, so my style is probably a mix of old c-x'er. So with that being said, I am open to any real type of debate. Just tell me. Now for my actual argumentation. I will define Washington D.C. as being our nation's government. This includes all three branches. Broken is defined as needing repair. My reason for defining it this way is because if something is needing...
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Beauty is relative. What is "beautiful" cannot be specifically defined to include the thoughts and opinions of every individual. The media's version of beauty cannot reflect what is in the hearts and minds of every human being. Yes, an attractive woman may be said to be beautiful in every respect. But that doesn't mean that an aesthetically average girl cannot be deemed beautiful by just one person who loves her. Beauty is just a word used to describe an indescribable appreciation for what truly...
Voting should be mandatory

In Australia people of voting age who do not practice their right are fined 75$ (Aus). Should the same sort of thing happen here? I think, the status quo is better. Let me expalin. First of not all the people pay much attention to poltics. When voting, they should not be voting becuase of the cool-sounding names or because they've "always" supported that particualr party, but rather because they are informed and trying to give the government their opinion. Although it would be undemocratic to...
The United States Should Set a More Constructive Example for Future Superpowers

The United States of America has experienced a meteoric rise in power over the course of its brief existence. A mere two-and-a-quarter centuries ago, our nation did not exist; today we are the world's greatest economic and military power. In fact, we are the most powerful political unit in the history of mankind. As quickly as our exalted position came, however, it can (and will) go. The signs of our decline are already present. The developing economies of India and China will outstrip ours i...
evolution is wrong

There are too many problems with many of the claims evolutionists use to justify their beliefs. Take for example the fossil record. There is an enormous gap between the simpler organisms and the more complex organisms. There is also a problem with their theory of how birds evolved. The example most defenders of evolution use is that of the archaeopteryx. while it looks like it is half reptile half bird, scientists who study such things say that it was closer to a flightless bird much like our ow...
