| About Me: | I am a sophomore at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. I study biology and rhetoric. I intend to pursue a medical degree, so I'm trying to have a very well rounded science curriculum. In rhetoric, I'm particularly interested in how science and religion are framed by the media, politicians, and advertisers, though I also do a lot of work with issues of war and protest. I tend to have two very distinct personalities: when debating, presenting, or talking "business" I am very outspoken, bold, and often blunt. In more personal settings, though, I tend to be rather shy. I am on the university debate team, where I compete in Worlds Style, and I am the president and founder of the mock trial team. |

| Beliefs: | Politically, I am an unapologetic liberal. In most European countries, I'd be a Socialist or Green, but since we have a screwed up political system and third parties are effectively disenfranchised, I generally support Democrats. I am in favor of universal health care, higher income taxes, CO2 caps, universal college education, and increased welfare, among other liberal issues. I am fundamentally non-religious. I do not believe in God, souls or the afterlife, but I also do not disbelieve in God. I am simply unconvinced by the evidence, in a similar way to how I am unconvinced by the evidence of werewolves. |

We Should Have Continued to Use Our Colonial Scrip System Instead of the Bank of England Model.
