Klashbash's Debates

My argument is simple, the Iraq war was started by greed, and connections. GREED: 1.One issue about Iraq is Oil. 2.Bush is well CONNECTED to Big Oil. (Daddy Bush has lots of money in Big Oil, and for Bush junior, theres allways the Oil Lobby.) 3.Haliburton is a corporation that makes weapons for wars. Cheney was Haliburton's CEO, and has enormous amounts of stocks in Haliburton. 4. Many contracts have been made to Haliburton durring the Iraq War, making Haliburton...

I'm tired of people praising Ronald Reagan "because he ended the Cold War". The Soviet Union split up. They voted for the split of the Union because their government was inefficient. The correct statement would be "The Cold War ended during Reagan's presidential term". Reagan did nothing contributing to the fall of the Soviet Union....

Clearly it had not shocked nearly enough because as the tide of the war changed the United States of America (U.S.) completely changed there stance on strategic bombing. In fact the German and Japanese bombings were minor compared to the U.S. bombings. The U.S. bombing of Japan was an unnecessary and cruel act. It is clear that there was no concern for civilian lo...

I read through quite a few of the "libertarian" profiles on here and i kept seeing a disturbing trend of libertarians being in favor of war. War anywhere outside of your own country is inconsistent with a belief in small government. All foreign wars, without exception have expanded the size and power of government. Wars are also one of the most expensive endeavors. Now plenty of people think that the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and the possibility of one in Iran are not huge expansions of gove...

I am for the enforcment of a national minimum wage. Minimum wage, although it has its drawbacks, is necessary to protect the livelihood of employees who are likely to be working in lower-class jobs and living in lower-class conditions. Even with the minimum wage most fulltime workers who are payed aforementioned wage live in povertous conditions and can be easily taken advantage of by unscrupulous employers....
