Debate.com v3.0 Sneak Preview

Thursday, March 20, 2008

Dear Friends and Fellow Debaters,

I know there is a lot of anticipation for the next version of Debate.com, and we are working diligently to bring you the next generation of online debates. When we originally launched Debate.com in October of last year, we did so not knowing what the public's response would be. To our relief, the response was phenomenally good. Immediately after our initial launch, we launched v2.0, which had some important changes that members like you suggested. Version 3.0 included changes and features that were initially quite small, but very important. As we began developing the V3.0, your suggestions continued to flood our mailboxes, and we did our best to take the feature requests the community was seeking, and add them to the development schedule. We were hoping to launch the new site this month, however the new features have pushed out our timetable to June, 2008. Another factor in the delayed launch, is the fact that we, the founders of Debate.com (Crystal and Philip Ferreira), are expecting our first son any day now. If you haven't had to prepare for a new child, I cannot begin to describe how much preparation such an event places on your shoulders. It is my hope that you, our members, will continue to use and tell your friends about Debate.com, and be patient as we continue to develop the next version of the website. In the meantime, please enjoy the screenshots below of the new website in development.

Sincerely,

Philip Ferreira
