| Beliefs: | Free will does not exist. All human decisions are outputs of a biological brain, based on accumulated memories of stimuli which we are genetically predisposed to react to. In these memories we automatically seek out patterns, and that is how we develop all of our thought processes, experience all of our emotions, and determine how we will act. There is no chance, there is no probability, there is no variation from nature. You cannot change the future, you cannot change anything. As they say in Spain, "Que Sera, Sera": What will be, will be. Now that that's all over with, lets have some fun, shall we? |

Ron Paul will be elected President of the United States in 2008.

Ok, so I live in North Carolina, a state that as you all know just finished with its primaries. Of course, the primaries didn't really matter anyway, because John McCain has officially secured enough delegates that, barring a major felony arrest and/or death, he WILL be the republican Nominee, according to party rules. Thing is that before, during, and after the primaries, continuing until today, there are plenty of unshaven weirdos hanging around intersections holding giant "RON PAUL FOR PRE...
Joseph Smith is a false prohphet.

When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him," (Deut. 18:20-22). Being a Christian, this excerpt from the bible pretty much states my case in full. Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism made MANY false prophecies. 1. Joseph Smith claimed that Jesus was to return 56 year's from the day of his prophecy. Yet, in 1891 the w...
The use of Sweatshop Labour.

A sweatshop is a factory, where people(children)work for a very small wage, producing products such as clothes, toys, shoes, and other consumer goods. The term connotes a factory in which the workers are kept in a harsh environment with inadequate ventilation, and workers may sometimes be abused physically, mentally, or sexually, subjected to long hours, harsh or unsafe conditions, and the like. Sweatshops often fail to pay a living wage. Some companies have been found of using children in their...

Gay marriage or civil unions? There is no difference

I personally believe that marriage is a basic right. However, like most things, there are parameters which define those very rights. Since some people are apt to neglect context, it is important to distinguish parameters. For instance, an 8 year old cannot legally marry because the law has determined that people in that age bracket do not generally have the wherewithal to make a decision of that magnitude. So, then, marriage being a basic right does not license us to marry whomever or whatever o...
