Everything is debatable

I got this from a friend and thought it would be interesting, everything is debatable. Please find one thing that there is no debate about. Thanks,...
Campaign Ethics

I feel that we need to reform our campaign ethics. If we as Americans ever expect to get out of debt we need to put our money towards worthy causes. Too much of this elections money was wasted on campaigns. That money could have gone toward getting the American people out of debt....
Free will is an illusion that does not exist

Ok so here is my biggest argument for this. Free will can never truly exists as we our eternally bound by different forms of desires. I shall prove this through 3 points. 1. Free will doesn't exist : For instance, i might walk into a store and see something that i want, lets say a videogame. Now i have two choices at hand i could either take the video game to the register and buy the game, or i could steal it. Though my opponent might try to say that this is indeed free will, my opponent fail...
5a. Civil Unions

Any rights which the government deigns to give to the citizens being governed by that government must be given to all citizens. There are at present hundreds of rights which exist for couples by way of the government and they must be universally applied for gay couples as well. If a couple wishes to enter a civil union it should not be for the government to say that you can't have rights because we don't allow those rights except for parties of opposite genders. We can understand the argument...
4b. Campaign Finance Reform

A campaign lives and dies by money and it's getting worse and worse every election cycle. When money is more important than votes, we find that anybody we need to elect is going to be far more indebted to the money than the people. The current system is a legal nightmare, a joke, and an albatross around the necks of everybody in politics. I don't know what the solutions to the problems are, but I do know that the problems are not going to be solved by doing nothing. We need to reform the syst...
4a. Campaign Finance Reform

Politics is a messy business. People with money finance campaigns, and in return, they expect those politicians whose campaigns they financed to help them out a bit. No more should this occur. These are not democratic ideals. This country was founded on the notion that every taxpayer should have the same amount of say in government. That, unfortunately, does not hold true. To fix the situation, we must reform campaign finance. No more will we be a society where the wealthy and powerful make the...
USFG should ensure the welfare of families living in poverty

I am CON in this debate, I will be arguing that the topic above is false. I have no case to make this round, since I am CON. :: DEFINITIONS :: D1: USFG -The USFG is the United States Federal Government D2: Should -Ought. This simply means that it is the correct course of action. This is not a moral issue, it is an economic and social issue. D3: Ensure the welfare -To ensure someone's welfare will mean to make sure that person can afford basic necessities - a healthy diet and a plac...
3b. Border Fence

Some of you may be wondering, what exactly do I mean by a border fence? Some of you may think you already know. I will define border fence: Border Fence: The fence around the border of any prison. I am in favor of continuing to use the idea of a border fence. First, it keeps criminals in. This goal also requires other things, such as guards, else the prisoners would escape, but having a border fence certainly limits escapees. Second, it works to separate the prison from the outside w...
Law Enforcement Agency Consolidation

I am just wanting input on Law Enforcement Agency Consolidation. What are some pros and cons? What about costs? What are some savings? Overages? Would it help with emergencies? Or make it worse? Should tasks be duplicated? Or create chaos? What about training, control of evidence, administrative functions? Effective or non-effective?...
Really what is the truth about the earth and how we got here?

20 billion years ago. Nothingness. Then suddenly some unknown atom massed outwards into space, if only we could get our hands on this "atom", as there was space for this explosion to expand into there had to be time and existing matter there before. According to science outside the universe, it's a void where nothing can exist. So how did anything come together to begin with? So far I would say im being logical. Then the next part is chemical evolution, how and where did all these chemicals get...
