debate.com should not have limits/preset number of rounds in debates

having a set number of rounds and having a limit of 'x' rounds per debate limits the ability of the debater to get fully in depth in the given topic. granted, this builds skill of being a good debater, such as thoroughly organizing your thoughts and making your position clear. however, the lack of potential ideas/thoughts that would be presented after the limit of rounds far outweighs the 'skills' built in a debate with a set number of rounds. not having a set number of rounds might create a fri...
Chuck Norris is way over-exaggerated

Basically, Chuck Norris is not as cool as some people make him. He is not any form of "God" or anything. He's just a over-exxagerated celebrity who is really getting annoying....
Censorship is alive and well on debate.com.

While this site may purport to support controversy and discussion of relevant social issues, and total trivia in some cases such as who's cuter than who or which comic book character is tougher, when pressed it is just as capable of bias and cowardice as any other privately owned expression media. http://www.debate.com/debates/Just-because-you-are-so-cute-You-are-a-terrorist./1 ...was removed because of a heated debate that developed on the nature of the typical American mating paradigm o...
Partial Birth Abortion

I think that partial birth abortion is totally wrong. It is unfair to the babies. It does not give them the chance that other kids have. And if the couple did not want a child they should have used protection!...

Homosexuals are perfectly justified and deserve all the rights of other people.

So...gays are definitely people. Their homosexual actions have no negative impact on anyone but themselves (placing them apart from rapists and pedophiles.) Therefore, no country is morally justified in placing restrictions against any of their rights. Whoever accepts this debate must find a reason why we have a right to discriminate against gays....

bible is more than likely infallible

the outrageousness speaks for itself. ---When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself...
Religion should not influence laws and policies enacted by the government.

Okay. I took history, and understand our country was founded by religious people. However, our country was also founded on many different concrete ideals. One of which is freedom of religion. One could affirm, that having such a freedom entitled to us would entitle us to not have a religion at all. Our country is also supposed to be FOR the people. How can our government be fair and equal if the laws and policies governing all of its people are based on the religious beliefs of a select group of...
