| About Me: | I am a high school student living in NYC. I have a lot of views & opinions that I consider to be fundamentally different from the people around me. For this reason, I wish to get them out of my chest; and it was for this reason that I came to this website. In the next section, I am going to lose some precision and detail in the way I sum up my beliefs, because to describe them perfectly and in precise detail would require a lot of time and characters, both of which I cannot afford without restriction. | Beliefs: | For the sake of my happiness, I seek something. Some might find "enlightenment" or "truth" as acceptable terms for that which I seek. Others might find these terms vague, because they depend on each person's innate understanding of each, and on their views of what the "truth" is, and on the kind of "enlightenment" that is being sought. However, the kind of enlightenment, or truth, that I seek, is the kind that will collectively maximize the happiness of everyone. Why? Because MY happiness depends on others' happiness. Thus, I define the term "truth" to be the best way to maximize everyone's happiness. I believe that I have been making progress in finding the truths. Although I believe that I have found many -- if not most, or all -- parts of the truth, it makes sense, from a statistical standpoint, to assume that I haven't found them all. And I also believe that I hold beliefs that are not "truths". I need your help/logic/beliefs/opinions to correct me and help me find the real truths. |

Progressive income taxation has ruined many Americans' lives. The top 50% of earners pay 99% of income taxes, the top 10% pay 70% of income taxes, and the top 5% of earners pay half of income taxes. Seriously, just because people earn more money doesn't mean more of their money should taken away. Money they worked their butts off for. And the rest of America pays a measly 1%?!?!?! Smoking is good for you

As we all know, life is very stressful and a cigarette or some weed will often do wonders for a person's mental and emotional state. Some people claim to be totally pro-choice, but completely against the death penalty. That is two extremely hypocritical conflicting views. That makes no sense whatsoever.
