However strange, awkward, or unexplainable, right after Letterman got his show back in the middle of the writer's strike, he had a beard. And that beard, I swear to god, had otherworldy powers to make him relatively funny. I've watched his show almost every night since I was a small child, and he's never been as funny as when he had that beard.

And the beard is the only way to explain it, too. As soon as he lost the beard, the show suddenly reverted back to it's fairly retarded humor. With that beard, he seemed happy all the tiem. Not to mention high.

I agree. I think beards are making a comeback, and David Latterman could have been a front runner in this new fashion design. Not only that, but chicks dig it.
