I have been visiting this site for some time. In the beginning of my visits, many notices were posted by debate.com that big changes were coming both new and exciting. Looks the same to me, no different nothing exciting a big let down if you ask me.
Good morning. In today's case, I shall prove that contrary to my opponent's belief that "debate.com hasn't changed", it has in fact changed since his arrival here. 1) Sadolite may have arrived on the 7th of February, but by the 31st of march, this website started hosting a tournament via facebook. The debate.com tournament is still ongoing and the winner receives a hefty sum of 100 big ones as well as the bragging rights for having come first place in the first tournament of this website. There are also two other tournaments underway as of now; there is a policy and Lincoln Douglas debate tournament going on as of now. 2) Two of the most active users on this website have met their demise recently as both beem0r and Yraelz seem to be 6 feet under as of now. No one knows of the circumstances of their passings, but this is rather big news. 3) A new gang of trolls have arrived on this website recently and they troll through claiming they are from India while posting unintelligible debates which they have no intention of continuing. Okay, so maybe the second and third ones aren't quite as exciting, but the first one is not only big but exciting to (though it should be noted that I only have to prove change). I recommend you sign up for the next tournament, sadolite. OFF TOPIC: As for why the Webmaster hasn't implemented any system changes (other than repairing the character limit glitch), it's because his wife has recently had a child so he hasn't had quite as much time to devote to this website as he had months ago, but in any case, version 3 will be up soon. Just be patient. Oh yeah, and vote CON while you're at it. Thanks for the debate. |

The funny thing is I just had a cool idea for a website for debates, then thought somebody somewhere has probably done that already, and typed "debate.com" in the domain to see what it would turn up, coincedentally very soon after it launched.
This is actually v2 of debate.com, and has changed magnificentally.
You're one of the few reasons I still lurk on this site,
Because I know wherever you are and whatever you say,
Will give me a very good laugh.
Any day of the week.
Debate.com has indeed changed unless you wish to insist that it had hosted tournaments and offered up prizes before you started using the site (which it didn't).
And even if you want to talk about system changes, the fact that the webmaster fixed the character limit glitch (it would seem recently) should suffice in proving that there was a system change. Though now that I think about it, the time limit glitch didn't show up until after you had arrived, so that's a system change too. Hopefully, my points are now more clear than they were previously for you.
Actually, it does. Debate.com handles it's business through facebook. Allow me to provide you with an example: If you are married (or were to get married), then you are different from went you weren't married. Do you disagree?
If not, then think of facebook as debate.com's wife or girlfriend. At very least, think of facebook as the clerk debate.com shall now regularly purchase groceries from. It's different than debate.com being unto itself at all times.
And having a tournament is not something debate.com was officially doing before. In other words, debate.com is BEHAVING differently, therefore, is different.
Of course, if you don't buy that, then the fact that debate.com is offering up $100 in cash to one of its users should be a significant difference. Either way, I win.
