Debate.com is in a rut. There is absolutely nothing to do. Debaters on this site are becoming less and less active and at my last count there were only 14 debates on the challenge board 10 of which are dominated by dairygirl4u2c a good debater but one that few seem to want to debate. My point is Debate.com is in a rut and unless they want to see their users leave they should hurry up and make those updates they promised because this site is getting booooooring.
No offense to dairygirl4u2c.
I am sorry you feel so pessimistic about this site my fried. I actually find debate.com to be exhilarating and expansive to the mind. The updates would only cause more chaos and clog up the site rather than allow us to just willy-nilly debate. Debate.come is more than just a site. It is a way of life. And hopefully one day, I can use this site like it were my perfect dating service. NOTICE: I am looking for an intelligent woman who likes to talk, debate, argue, and/or converse. She must be approximately 5'4.5" tall, have reddish/brownish hair, enjoy reading and writing, and can love deeply. Preferably a cheekyhobo such as myself, but if not, that is fine. I am a male with dark brown hair, a strong barreled chest, and overall, a nerd. |

olle15 forfeited this round.
Turns out that debate.com is pretty ballin'. A concession is a horrible thing and I hope for world peace. |

Blindly supporting the makers of this website? I replied based on what I had experienced from this website for the two months which I've been here. Your accusation is baseless.
I dismissed the people who come to this site to violate the rules and discourage the users who regularly frequent this site, not merely the people who make complaints. The mere fact that I've presented a suggestion for this websites future improvement should suggest that I'm not completely satisfied. Also, I like how you conveniently ignore the part of my post where I brought up the fact that complaints against this website have been tolerated for a long time.
And considering that this website has 3500 members, there being less than merely 1% of that amount actually making the kind of complaints you're talking about is a good report.
Lastly, I understand that painting me off as an overly angry critic is convenient for whatever point you're making, but the tone of my previous post didn't come close to signifying any real emotion.
1. HoosierPapi completely and utterly dropped Logical-Master's point that there are debates that criticize this cite or even the webmaster personally but have remained. To extent this point I would like to bring in the ToS and ask HoosierPapi to demonstrate one user who has been wrongly banned from this site under those rules.
2. This site has 3872 members, as of latest count. The fact that 20 of those members, or perhaps former members, have voiced a dislike of this site speaks little. That actually breaks down to 1/2 of a percent. Even if I wanted to be extremely liberal and say that double that many people are dissatisfied with this site and only 1000 users actually use it, I would still be standing at 4%.
3. This site is not mandatory in the least! What is you complaining about it going to do? You have alternatives:
a. Make your own site.
b. Submit comments on how to make the site better into the comment box.
c. Do real life debate.
d. Do something you actually like to do while online.
Again I ask, what does posting this here do? If the status quo is indeed how you present it to be then what is complaining to a conservative webmaster going to do? Nothing for you doubtlessly, nothing for me, nothing for the webmaster.
4. Being directed mildly more at Zander. The fact that I have one year of debate experience in effect does empower me quite a bit more than you. Why? Because I say so. Whats your solution? Challenge me to a debate and put me back in my place. You have every ability to beat me in a debate, why are you complaining about it here?
5. HoosierPapi, aside from the obvious rule that one cannot (which has been used loosely from debates I have seen) use profane language. What rules are the webmasters making us play by?
