My first round argument, which will be my only argument in this debate, is that I will forfeit the second and third rounds of this debate.

Well, I read the resolution to myself..."I'm going to forfeit the second and third rounds of this debate". When I read it to myself, I feel as if I am the one being addressed, since my opponent define who "I" refers to.

However, I have no intention to forfeit those rounds. And if I don't forfeit both, you have no choice but to vote CON.

Of course, my opponent could try to refute my opening argument... but he won't, because if he doesn't forfeit both rounds, he will have proved the resolution false. If he does forfeit them, my argument will be uncontested, declaring me the winner.

At this point, you have absolutely no valid reason to vote PRO.

I thank my opponent for what may or may not turn out to be a debate.

Jamcke forfeited this round.

Well, it seems like my opponent intends to follow through with his claim; however, due to my earlier arguments, you should clearly vote CON from here on out. For if my opponent wishes to challenge these points he will have proven the resolution false, in my favor.

the topic should state "Jamcke will forfeit the second and third rounds of this debate."

"opponent define" should be "opponent did not define".

I have to start proofreading.

Korezaan: Great minds think alike? O.o I was just going by the resolution not being specific, so I used that to my advantage.

ARGH. HYPERLINK DOESN'T INCLUDE THE PERIOD.

First a ripper, and then this annoying thing.....

I shall return when this site updates.

Hmm, previous link didn't work. Forgot the period at the end.

Leethal does a good job illustrating my point here: http://www.debate.com... (specifically his third and fourth round). As long as your point stand, you win. Then again, I suppose that is assuming the judges' paradigms. ;)

No, proving the resolution would require he be present to prove it. Even if the resolution is proved, it doesn't mean he proved it within the context of an actual debate. Plus, his first round is begging the question (premise assumes conclusion is true). He never provides any reason as to why he would be forfeiting his rounds.
