What constitutes a Christian? The belief that Christ is our savior right? The belief that there is one god right? The belief in the bible correct? Mormons believe in all of these things, and all we have is an extra book (the book of mormon) to separate us from plain Christians.

Thank you, to my opponent for opening this debate. As a Christian, I find this debate will be rather entertaining...

Morman Beliefs:

"Soon after the founding of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Prophet Joseph Smith wrote thirteen Articles of Faith, which are straightforward statements of basic beliefs in the Mormon Church, many of which set the Church apart from other religious denominations. In a similar effort we have chosen to divide Mormonism into a few basic groups of beliefs which will help you understand the Church. "

Christian Beliefs:

As a Christian, I'll handle this one. Unlike Mormans, Christians believe Jesus and the prophets came from the Cradle of Life and down. Christians beliueve in a more steadfast and tightly binding doctrine, as the one written for Mormans was a bit shady and I will explain that later. Christians and Mormans share the same belief in one called Jesus Christ. The Morman Jesus, however, is not the same when it comes to teachings, origins, and person lifestyles.
(Also, as a side note pertaining to this argument, Mormans believe it is alright to inbreed and marry more than one spouse whereas Christians do not.)

Thanks,
-EG

Thank you for that amazing and stunning rebuttal. If you had refuted any of my points, I think I'd be scared. Have a nice day.

I'm afraid my opponent may not care that there is a debate going on here. I have lost sleep over this debate... Okay, that was a lie but it is still quite rude...

You know what to do, I'm done.

Thanks for literally nothing, my opponent, and thank you judges for seeing that... well that I don't forfeit rounds...

This debate is irrevocably unanimous, If you do not vote CON, you must be facing some personal problems at the moment or have no logical sense whatsoever.

Thank you,

Well, so much for defending your religion...

I've read the Book of Mormon, The Pearl of Great Price, and Doctrine's and Covenants. No offense to anyone, but this religion is no more intuitive than Scientology. It's like a 14 year old wrote a very long comic book for four years... o wait... Joseph Smith was 14 when he "discovered the tablets" and didn't reveal this until he was 18!

I've never met a Mormon who has read all three books. Every "missionary" I've spoken to is appalled when I start spewing their own beliefs to them. One guy even scoffed and said "who would believe that?"... then I pointed it out to him in "The Pearl of Great Price"...

If I wasn't already debating this, I'd debate you. Firstly, why don't you look up the info on their actual site?: lds.org (The one with the statue of Christ on the home page). Secondly, actual Mormons (Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) have not participated in Polygamy in over 110 years. They address that on the same site.

I'm disappointed in the Instigator, but his scant information was more backed up than yours.

I'm voting against you because of:

Thank you for that amazing and stunning rebuttal. If you had refuted any of my points, I think I'd be scared. Have a nice day.

And because you suck at downloading radiohead songs.

Probably the latter.

The resolution isn't true. Simply the fact of the semantics being Mormans are inequal to Christians (Not lesser or higher) by definition alone should suffice. But I didn't want to run a semantics argument.

flor has an automatic bias.

the fact that the resolution is true no matter what.
