A great baseball player can't be great only once, but must be fairly consistent throughout his career. Right now, Ryan Howard is the most overrated player in baseball because people act like he is a great player, yet he has only been playing 3 years, and one of those years was horrible.

- Ryan Howards career batting average is .286 this is comprable with players like David Ortiz .287, Mark Teixeira .285.
-Umm what year was his "horrible year?" all three full seasons he's played were very productive.

- Who would you rather have at first base? who is better than him?
- He was the quickest player in mlb history to hit 100 homers, thats good isn't it?
- Rookie of the year in 2005
- why is he overrated?

I think ive made my point. theres really nothing more, he is a very good player and i would have him on my team over allot of players. He is struggling this year but hes never disappointed his team yet.
