In today's time, there are a lot of medias such as Internet, TV, Newspapers. They make people know that what's going on in the world. However, today, medias such as Internet has gone out of control. Bad criticisms and sordid comments tend to hurt people and make them mentally harassed. THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED. In order to do this, the government must take control of the media, and stop some articles or comments that will mentally harass innocent people. For example, my friend has a website that supports a star and some other people who support other star made bad comments such as "You suck!!!" "The person you support is nothing compared to this guy!!" and other unspeakable comments. Imagine that you put a lot of effort on something, and you put in on the Internet, and people start to criticize you for nothing. It would make you embarrassed, mentally hurt, and make your efforts useless. There's an another example that I would like to share. There was a website that told the news about what was going on in **** elementary school in Seoul, Korea. Some people from the other school put very rude comments to it saying that the **** elementary school was a place for you-know-whats. It became a very big issue in the school and the principal called the Cyber Police to track the person who made that rude comment. Eventually, the culprit was caught and was fined. Imagine that there were no Cyber Police, no restrictions. Then the Internet or other media would be a place for people who criticize people that they don't like. So, we can say that the governments should have control over the media.
But I think that if we ban every single website that uses a bad word,we will have to ban about half of the websites in the world.Because if the website provide lots of information,at least one of the information will carry a bad word. For example, say that a website has no bad words at all, but a person posted an information that has a bad word in it.Then the website must be rstricted just because of that one imformation? And also, most websites that carry lots of bad things are protected form children watching it.Because tou have to prove that you are an adult by typing in your resident registration number. And if your discovered as a child, you cannot visit that website. And adults can see such bad things as long as they don`t teach their children those bad things and bad words,no parents alive will teach their children to say bad words. So I think that it is not necessary to restrict websites 28 Seconds Ago |

You said that some websites will contain at least one word and just because of one word, that website being closed down is wrong. However, let me just correct you. I said that in my last argument that "stop some articles or comments" not closing down the whole website. You also said about in order to get in to sites that contain bad words/violence can only be entered with an adult registration number, so, we do not have to close down the website. This is not block able. Even a child would know that if he/she copies an adult's registration number by looking at their driving license etc...... they would get an access to a million websites without restriction. Also there are some websites that the government has not yet blocked and those sites do not need registration numbers to get in.(I'm not saying that I got in to those websites!!) Also plenty of kids in our school play suddenattack even if they need parent's registration number. You know why? It is because they copy their parent's registration number!! It is NOT an effective system. Kids are smart enough to try things that an adult has never tried before. In order to stop them, we need to strengthen the security, which will cost more and be more complicated or, we can just restrict the site and take control of the media.
