My mother and stepfather insist that it is a significant waste for me to put four packs of cocoa powder into one cup of cocoa but this is the way I like it. Is it more logical for me to not enjoy four cups of cocoa than it is for me to enjoy a quarter of the cups? First of all, it is economincally stupid to spend the $3 on cocoa mix, when nobody will ever enjoy it. Second of all, it is just stupid for me to have cocoa, which I love, and not enjoy any of it because it is bland and mundane...

a one time "rebate check", while it may provide atemporary boost to many working american families struggling with the current downturn, is not going to provide the type of sustained income growth nessary to restore consumer confidence......spoken by senator ron paul..i am against the resolution that states...That the economic-stimulus act of 2008 will sucessfully mitigate economic slowdowns over the next year... the stimulus act will only add on to US deficits... the congressional budget ...

I THINK SOMEONE SHOULD SELL CARBONATED GRAVY. THEY COULD PROBABLY SELL ALOT OF IT IN THE SOUTH OR AT NASCAR EVENTS. HELL, I WAS SIXTEEN YEARS OLD BEFORE I KNEW THAT GRAVY WASNT A SOFT DRINK. IT COULD COME IN MANY FLAVORS LIKE BROWN OR WHITE, CHICKEN, PORK, BEEF, FISH, TURKEY, OR WHATEVER. THEY COULD EVEN MIX IT WITH WHISKEY AND SELL IT AS A MIXED DRINK....

Colonial Scrip was a monetary system invented by Benjamin Franklin, because the Colonies had, simply put, no money. So he created money backed by real estate (I don't know exactly how, but I wish I did.) that inflated at 3% per year to keep the price of goods almost the same as time goes on. This monetary system was so successful, that the average American farmer was wealthier than the average British aristocrat. The Bank of England got upset that they couldn't cash in on this success, so the Br...

I am not an expert in stocks. I am a commoner seeing many people investing their life savings in stocks and stock markets through one route or other, directly or indirectly with the hope of higher returns on their savings. The amount they save for the rainy day is not safe is my argument. The sentiment that drives the demand and prices for stocks or the sentiment that leads to market crashes is too risky as a channel for common man. There must be better way for the companies to mobilise funds fo...

I believe that it shouldn't be legal for a citizen to have to get a job. People have their own opinions and they should not be forced to do what they are against. If they have a reason or no reason at all it would still not be fair to them if they were forced....

Frithaes. There aren't nearly enough debates about outsourcing on this website and I thought I'd fix that. Outsourcing is a simple enough concept. If an American company outsources all but its top tier, say 10% of its workers, the managers and corporate leaders and whatnot, then all the money spent on its product either goes to the foreign workers or to that top tier. (And possibly the stock holders but I'll address that later.) The top tier (managers and the like) will give back to the count...

Recently, both Obama and McCain have batted around the idea of taxing corporate gas emmisions. This is when the government charges corporations depending on how much pollution they emit. I was wondering what people thought of this and if they could explain to me why this would be a good idea....

We're Growing Fast
Welcome new members! That's pretty much everyone, since we're not yet 2-months old. When we launched the first version, we weren't sure if people would use it. Now we know better, and are in the process of building version 3. We can't share all of the new features; let's just say it's going to be awesome. But, it's going to take a few months to finish the project because it's so big. Keep your suggestions coming.
