Hello! Please debate. :)
Astronomy is, I believe, the most interesting type of science. There are many unexplored areas in it, so we still have much to learn, and it may produce outstanding results when we do make discoveries in that area. It is much less mundane, much more mysterious, and is so vast that one exploring it would never be at a loss for things to learn or find out. While physics, biology, etc. are very important, they have been explored very thoroughly and are too close to home ...

Note to Voters: Take not your own beliefs when voting, vote based on merit of the arguments. Also this is copy-pasted from another debate I was in: http://www.debate.com/debates/Resolved-That-Global-Warming-is-a-manmade-problem./1/
From my opponent-to-be's comments in that debate, he looks to be good competition. I hope for a good debate, and I thank him in advance.

let me say this first i this debate is not here to talk about evolution vs. Christianity it is here to debate christianity. Not the church and its actions. this is for the relgious piece only refering to the bible and JESUS.
My view on christianity is that though it is an exclusive relgion in the fact that it asks you to dedicate your life to god. I believe christianity to be a great pro every lesson JESUS taught was positive and always had a good meaning. if everyone were to live by the ten...

Thanks to my opponent if he accepts, not sure if this is the evolution debate you wanted, though you did state the complexity of the eye as an indication of an intelligent designer. Next one can be your choosing. ;)
Essentially I will show that the eye evolved, using the human eye, and eyes found in nature in general, to show the stages of development and how relatively easily it occurs.
I assert that an Intelligent Designer, by definition, would not incorporate flaws into a system, as t...

It is a long-held mystery of the masses: Do aliens exist? It is something that cannot be proven, and ultimately something that one feels the need to ponder. I, for one, do not believe in aliens, as intelligent life forms equal to, or even greater, than our own. The probability is not high enough for me to truly accept this as a possibility....

The popular theory states that as carbon dioxide levels increase so too will the temperature at an exponential rate.
According to the popular "greenhouse effect" theory carbon dioxide is the main driver of the Earth's temperature however according most of the reliable science I've seen it isn't and it as things stand today cannot have any significant effect on the planet's temperature due to limitations of carbon dioxide's ability to absorb radiation.
I'm for the sensible protection of the...
