vegetarians are better than carnivores because we don't kill innocent animals just for food and we don't breed animals just to slater them. Chickens are trapped with no room to walk or move. calf are tied up so they cant walk or move just so the meat is tender and that is just wrong because all living creatures deserve freedom. And if you are a Christian than you should not eat gods creatures and in the 10 commandments it says you should not commit murder and that is what happens murder. Why not eat your neighbor your uncle because there is no difference they both feel pain. SO STOP EATING MEAT AND STOP THE KILLING!!!
Sorry thomas1, but humans did not make it all the way to the top of the food chain to eat cabbage dung pie. "vegetarians are better than carnivores because we don't kill innocent animals just for food and we don't breed animals just to slater them." When you brush your teeth in front of a mirror, did you ever wonder why some of them look more pointed and sharper than others? The answer is simple. Humans, as well as some animals are made to naturally have meat as part of their diet. Our ancestors ate meat, and some of them only ate meat, simply because that was the only thing available to them at the time. What's wrong with killing animals? What's wrong with breeding animals just to slaughter them? What you call murder, I call food, and that's not just any food, it's good food, delicious food. When I see a cow get slaughtered and all the blood comes out of it's neck, pouring out like it's being pumped with a garden hose, I get hungry, my mouth waters. It makes want a nice burger or steak. "Chickens are trapped with no room to walk or move. calf are tied up so they cant walk or move" Oh, the poor chickens. I have 4 cats, their names are: Storm, Shadow, Cloud, and Cassandra. One day Shadow caught a cute little mouse. Know what he did with it? He pounced on that little white mouse, dug his claws into it's sides, effectively puncturing it's skin, as well as digging it's claws deep into it's flesh. Then shadow let the mouse go for about a second of two, and pounced on it again, and repeated the process. This whole ordeal took about a half hour, and you know what? at the end of the day Shadow didn't even eat the little stupid mouse! He tortured it for a long amount of time, killed it, and left it to rot. Is that morally wrong when a cat tortures a mouse and doesn't even eat it? No. So why is it immoral when we kill animals quickly without torturing the animals and actually DO eat them. My opponent may argue that cats NEED to torture mice to further their hunting skills, however I can argue back that humans need to further their hunting skills, at least after we hunt, we usually eat our prey and we give them a quick death, unlike my cat. "just so the meat is tender" Yes, tender meat can tastes better, so what? That's still not the level of torture some animals unleash on others in the wild, ever seen a pride of lions tackle some prey? It's not a pretty sight. "and that is just wrong because all living creatures deserve freedom." So, there goes all the animal testing we can use to get cures for diseases and save lives. I guess the life of a mouse is more important that the life of a human. You can say goodbye to milk, cheese, and all kinds of your nutritious foods. Hey! I have an idea, how about instead of enslaving cows for milk, we enslave female humans, hook em up to milk pumps, and have a stud close by to keep em pregnant. That way the cows have their freedom, and we can still drink our milk. Wouldn't that be a better alternative? After all, the freedom of a cow is one of the most important things on the whole planet. "you should not eat gods creatures" That's interesting, why does God specifically say that animals can be eaten? Why does God command animal offerings? Why does God specifically make distinctions between animals that can be eaten, and animals that can be eaten. "in the 10 commandments it says you should not commit murder and that is what happens murder." I guess I better watch out next time I step on an ant, I could get a life sentence! Murder by definition only applies to other humans. "Why not eat your neighbor your uncle because there is no difference they both feel pain." Yeah...great analogy. Again, I'm sure that mouse felt a heck of a lot of pain when my cat butchered it, is that murder? Should the cat get a life sentence. There is no proof to show that vegetarians are "better" that carnivores, morally they were both naturally made that way; lions eat meat because they naturally evolved that way, just as horses naturally evolved to eat carrots, hay..etc There is no "better" They are both equal. |

thomas1 forfeited this round.
With nothing to rebut, I will simply type until I reach the ridiculously annoying character limit this site requires. |
