The Church of Scientology is a cult that should NOT have protection from the IRS.
The Tom Cruise couch jumping religion isn't a religion at all but a cult, and a dangerous cult at that. I would LOVE for a Scientologist to take this, but I doubt if any are in here they'd have the guts to do so. It would just cost too much in auditing sessions afterward. Any OTIII's out there want to take me on?...
The First Amendment of the US Constitution guarantees freedom from religion.

The First Amendment of the US Constitution guarantees not only freedom of religion but freedom from religion....
The CIA is a terrorist organization

I will open with an essay I have written on the topic: In 1947, President Harry S. Truman signed and put into effect the newly passed National Security Act. This act created the United States Central Intelligence Agency, the country's first peacetime intelligence and covert operations agency ever. The CIA came to power during a time of great fear and anxiety: the Soviet Union was quickly becoming a superpower and had seized control of Eastern Europe. The threat of Communism had begun to sprea...
Say something controversial

Get off the fence post and state your opinions on each individual issue in your profile. I believe you want to employ double talk, and not posting opinions allows you the freedom to go all over the board in your arguments. Let's try a few: Pro gun rights? Pro civil unions? Pro war of terror? Pro abortion? Come on, the water is warm. We won't frighten you with our hard-edged, crass arguments. Are you offended easily? --Mike, Painesville, OH...
Man has not made a single origonal invention since its dawn.

Ipods/Movies= better story telling/musical ceremonies/entertainment Steak= better food Skyscrappers= better "under the tree" Cars/Planes= better walking money= better trading religion= better science/law pictures= better history passing College= better learning Abercrombie and Fitch= better animal skin clothes phones= better talking My point being is this: Everything we have now is only an improvment on things that our ancestors made up back when we we're not the dominant predator an...
There is a smallest distance

My position is that there is not a smallest distance. We'll start with this for my opening argument, just because I'm sort of obligated to say something: There is no smallest distance because it is always possible to halve said distance. That said, I guess I'll wait for an opponent....
The Patriots undefeated season should have an asterisk on it.

The patriots have a superior team this year, arguably the best of all time, and should not be punished for mistakes of the past. I think if the patriots finish the season it should go down in history, as it should, as the best season in NFL history....
Barack Obama will win the Nevada caucuses tomorrow on the Democratic side.
The Nevada caucuses start approximately 15 hours from now. I have several good reasons for thinking and predicting that Barack Obama will carry the day on the Democratic side. 1. He has the support of the most powerful union in the state, the Culinary Workers. They will mobilize caucus-goers far more effectively than other organizations backing Hillary or Edwards. In a political environment like Nevada, where turnout is expected to be relatively mild - especially compared to Iowa - activism...
public smoking
People are wrong when they compare obesity to smoking. Someone eating a cheese burger and fries won't give me a heart attack. But if someone is smoking it not just effects that person, but also everyone else around him....
Horse Slaughter

Horse Slaughter in the U.S. was so much better for the horses, a quick pin through the brain and it was over. Now, they're either starving to death in dirt lots because no one can feed them, or they're being shipped to Mexico or Canada....
