Standardized Tests Such As The SAT Are Socioeconomically Biased

The first point I'd like to make in this argument is that in the world of standardized tests, such as the SAT, ACT, LSAT, GRE, GMAT, and MCAT, there is no such thing as an "aptitude test." Each test is designed to focus on a specific skill set that can, to some extent, be learned. None of these tests are designed in such a way that they reflect innate ability. That being said, standardized tests are biased towards wealthy students. Since these students are wealthy, they can afford professiona...
Globalization is way more prejudicial for third world countries than it is beneficial.

Today's technology brings the world together every day. Technologies like the internet have the purpose of making distances shorter and connecting people from across the world. Globalization is the main phenomenon that makes this connection possible. Globalization however, doesn't only concern global communication, but also global trade and business. Multinational companies are huge industries that benefit from the tax breaks they get in the U.S. and the extremely cheap labor found in third worl...
Political Correctness has been taken too far.

Although I believe that every person should have equal opportunities, I believe that people take political correctness too far, and are too easily insulted. If you walk into Wal-Mart, you wont here "Merry Christmas", or "Happy Hanukkah", but rather, a simple, hello, or just "Happy Holidays", I am not saying being inclusive is a bad thing, what I am saying, is the PC (Politically Correct) people have made it impossible to show your personal views, and run a business, and made corporations fear...
Is the Patriot Act a good thing?

In these days of Post 9/11, in the days of terrorism, and the days of Illegal immigration, we must know who is in our country and why they are here. With our open borders and many illegal immigrants (some of which are terrorists) coming in with fraudulent documents, what legal way do we have to keep America safe from the terrorists who are already in our country. How do we do this? The Patriot Act. But what is the Patriot Act? The USA PATRIOT Act, commonly known as the Patriot Act, is an Act...
Free People Should Cross Free Boarders Freely

They gased Jews legally in Germany we incarcerated Japanese Americans legally in the 40's we enslaved black people legally for about 200 years, we legally slaughtered thousands of Indians and kicked them off of there land. There is two very big question that come out of those subjects; 1. Where they good laws and 2. Do good people disobey bad laws....
Lib's have hi-jacked this website.

I think it's pretty obvious. Reviewing many of these debates you find ppl will ignore argument and vote what they view. I've seen many cases were ppl have added argument in their comment justifying their vote. Adding argument clearly shows that when they were voting they added that into the equation, distorting the out come. I say that Lib's are guilty of this because they think with their hearts. So, they do things that are not in the spirit of the competition because the ends justify the m...
Paintball is a healthy sport, which creates usefull skills.

I personally am an avid fan of the sport paintball, and upset at attempts to stop this sport, which builds character, teamwork, and both physical, and mental strength, I would like to debate someone who is familiar with the sport. 1-Paintball builds many skills which can be used later in life. Paintball is a sport which builds skills such as teamwork, stealth, respect, physical, and mental strength, awareness, and social skills, because the game is often played with people you don't know....
Mankind is developed enough where we should no longer need territory

I believe that we, meaning humans as an entire species, should remove all borders in terms of individual states. Wikipedia.com's definition of territory is: any geographical area that an animal of a particular species consistently defends against con specifics (and, occasionally, animals of other species). Dictionary.com defines borders as: the line that separates one country, state, province, etc., from another Webster's New World Definition defines a state as: a body of people politi...
Yellow Notebook paper is better for the eye than white notebook paper

I'd like to open with saying that my eyes are fine, whenever I look at yellow legal pads. But when I look at white notebook paper, I can't focus on it, because it's not vibrant, there for, I look at the blue line, getting fuzzier, and fuzzier, as I strain my eyes trying to keep them straight. Although it is bright, it's easy to focus on a large amount of yellow, than a small amount of blue. Plus, businessmen WITHOUT glasses, tend to use it for their whole careers. I've never seen a successfu...
